Sustainability Internship
Smart-H Ltd - Exeter, UK
For my MSc dissertation, I worked with Smart-H to examine the public health impacts of urban air pollution and the role of smart city technologies in mitigating these risks. The project assessed the health impact of Smart-H’s HydroDrive, utilising advanced air pollution dispersion modelling and urban data analysis. I communicated findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing strategies for integrating smart city technologies to enhance urban sustainability.

Distinction - University of Exeter, UK
My passion for the environment and desire to apply my computing skills for positive change led me to complete an MSc at the University of Exeter. The course allowed me to learn from top climate researchers and highlighted the monumental societal shift needed to protect our planet's future. With a strong emphasis on real-world applications, I gained practical tools for tackling sustainability challenges, including skills like systems thinking.

Software Development Internship
EdgeMethods - Remote, UK Based
During my internship at EdgeMethods, I contributed remotely to a UK government-funded carbon emissions reduction project. I designed and developed an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) data dashboard that provided real-time data visualisation and analytics. This tool empowered executives at a leading British plastics engineering company to make informed, data-driven decisions in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Virtual Reality Traineeship

Over the summer of 2023, I participated in a Turing Traineeship placement in computing at the University of Adelaide. During this time, I completed a course in Virtual Reality Design and Development, where I acquired new skills in 3D modelling and VR application development. This experience allowed me to deepen my technical expertise and gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge VR technologies.

I completed my undergraduate degree in computing with First-Class Honours in 2023. During this time, I developed a strong interest in programming, particularly in web and app development, and honed skills in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C++, database design, and API integration. I also spent a semester abroad in Barcelona through the Erasmus Programme, gaining new perspectives and valuable experience.
